What will happen to infomercials now that their King, Billy Mays is gone! Who will carry on this genius and unique craft?  Is it too early to joke that Oxiclean may be at fault here?  I mean, it is a white powder with many magical powers and uses.  Only the autopsy will tell.  Today Oxiclean sales sky-rocketed to an all-time “high!”

City of God – movie – absolutely brilliant film

leave a comment »

Wow, I watched this movie this weekend along with Almost Famous, one of my wife’s favorites. Anyway, City of God is not your typical blockbuster but if you appreciate creative film with complex shots, the cinematography will blow your mind!  It is a long movie but the way it is shot keeps you engaged.  The realism of the movie is fantastic and the fact that it is entirely in Portuguese enhances the film’s raw nature.  If you are turned off by movies not in English, don’t bother.  Althought the subtitles distracted a bit, it was still a great experience.  Highly recommend it!

Tied 0 to 0 for 10 innings, Round Rock Express game goes crazy in the 11th

with one comment

So  my wife and I took my parents to a Round Rock Express baseball game Saturday night to see them battle it out with New Orleans.  The score was tied up at 0 to 0 all the way up until the 10th inning.   The majority of fans left by the 10th, but we were having so much fun just relaxing we decided to stick it out.  Glad we did because in the 11th things went nuts.  At the top of the 11th New Orleans scored 4 runs, one a home run.  It was not looking good for us at the bottom of the 11th at 4-0 New Orleans.  We thought it was over and there was no way.  Then the Express loaded the bases and came back to score 5 runs.  It was clutch!  It ended up being a great game, one I won’t easily forget!
